Moving Swiftly forward with digital design
Contemporary, agile, up-scale, yet accessible. This was the overarching theme of our web redesign for Swiftly, a San Francisco tech company that uses data to help make public transit more reliable.
Through a collaborative process—and with a particularly discerning eye for illustrations and motion graphics—we were able to help amplify Swiftly’s core mission of helping cities move more efficiently.
Using a light touch
High on the priority list of the redesign was creating motion graphics and interactions across pages while maintaining lighting-fast load times and excellent image quality. Through a meticulous process of testing and design iteration, we were able to directly code animated SVGs and microinteractions until we struck just the right balance between aesthetics and functionality—one that wouldn’t weigh the page down.
Stroke-based illustrations
For this custom rebrand, we avoided stock images and created line drawings (stroke-based illustrations) that subtly elevated Swiftly’s position as a leader in urban mobility. These monochromatic illustrations not only look fresh, but they’re also placed in a hierarchical system on the back-end to keep things neatly organized.
Integrating brand colors
We used Swiftly’s existing brand colors to enhance user experience by drawing attention to the most important information and calls to action, as well as to create consistent flow throughout the site.
Typography for an urban setting
Minimalist, sans-serif font styles mirror our stroke-based illustrations to create a cohesive airy feel on the site. These clean fonts are easy to read and utilize differing weights and accent colors to bring attention to the most important information on the page.
Elegantly responsive for mobile-first users
With an emphasis on fast load times and cross-platform compatibility, our team was able to ensure that the redesigned site maintains all its delightful animations and microinteractions across mobile, tablet, and desktop devices.
